Dear all,
I am planning to use the _unmodified_ Eigen source code in a commercial, closed-source application. I know that the MPL2 license allows me to do this without disclosing the source code of my application. When I distribute the application, am I required to insert a particular license/copyright notice regarding the Eigen library? Something on the line of "This application uses the Eigen library, which is distributed under the following license notice ...". Also, which of the following is correct? - I am I required to distribute the Eigen source code together with my application; - I must inform the user where she/he can get it ("The Eigen source code can be found at 'http://eigen.tuxfamily.org/'"); - None of the above. Thanks in advance for your attention. I could not figure out the answer to the aforementioned questions from the MPL2 FAQ. And of course many thanks for this amazing piece of work that Eigen is! Cheers, Jader |

Sorry for late reply,
yes, that's what says the MPL2.
not required
that solution is enough. |

Thanks for the information.
One last question regarding the MPL2 license notice: is it enough that I ink to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/MPL/2.0/, or I am required to reproduce the full MPL2 license? Is the following statement satisfactory? "This application uses the MPL2-licensed features of Eigen, a C++ template library for linear algebra. A copy of the MPL2 license is available at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/MPL/2.0/. The source code of the Eigen library can be obtained at http://eigen.tuxfamily.org/. Best regards, Jader |
