I've been trying to subscribe to Eigen's mailing list but although I received the "You are already subscribed to this list" email from listmaster@tuxfamily.org multiple times, I still don't receive any of the emails sent to the list and I can't get a single email to arrive there too.

So, does this problem happen a lot? And what do I need to do to fix it?

You were "Waiting for Confirmation", probably the confirmation email was blocked as spam.
