Are there any future plans for the BandMatrix class? I found this thread from July: viewtopic.php?f=74&t=88886&p=163403&hilit=BandMatrix#p163403

It would be pretty nifty to have a feature-rich class (all of the vectorized coefficient operations, etc) that I could then throw at BLAS.

A feature set equivalent to BLAS should be implemented soon. For more fancy features you will have to wait a bit more, or give us your help
