If you prefer, create a user for KDE-related things. I don't think there's a group account for this yet. Just make sure to use [KDE4.2] as a prefix in the video name *and* add the "kde4.2" tag when uploading ("Categorize" section of the upload form). As for license, I'd say a CC-Attribution-ShareAlike would be fine (hopefully it can be changed later if needed).

Of course, put in a brief description about the video as well. Like that, even if it's not picked up by the kde-promo team, I can ask our forum admins to make a sticky thread with all the screencasts once we're done with this Kourse, and we can also advertise them on blogs etc.

I assume it'll also appear as a Flash video once it's being converted? (I haven't tried blip.tv myself yet, save for creating an account for screencasts).

Also, as far as I can see, it hasn't been tagged yet (just did a quick search). Make sure you added the "kde4.2" tag to it (not in the title, but in the video properties).

If it's just blip.tv being slow, then disregard all my comments.

Yeah, blip.tv is very slow... It's still converting it to flash...
It says it will take around 24 minutes to convert it.
Maybe because of my 1680x1050 resolution...
So it seems we'll have to wait and see.

It's done! Now all that's left is to check if it's been tagged as "kde4.2". EDIT: It shows up in the search. All's well.
Let me know if you have issues with the note-less version.

Oh! I guess it got lost in the sea of edits I made this morning. Your screencast has been green-lighted, go ahead and put it on blip.tv.
Aside that, can you additionally make the note-less version for that subtitling experiment?

Fengshaun: did you put the version with notes on blip.tv?
As for the rest, I'll try to view them ASAP (I've been out most of the day).

Just to explain why I'm still not done with note-less version...
I decided to time it "perfectly" to subtitles... So I'll first make the subtitles and then I'll
move to recording it. So I'll know exactly when to move Amarok icon to Folder view and such...

Primoz: no problem.
Fengshaun: All right even for the note-less version!
TeaAge: some typos to fix ("Hight" for example), and raise the panel more to show the increased height. Aside that, it's shaping up well.

Next shot:
http://blip.tv/file/1642589

- I fixed some typos (used UK English)
- replaced all 'you' with 'we' (to make it consistent).
- all motions are a bit slower
- raised the panel a bit more
