Silly me, did the one-click SuSE 1.11 install and then thought it wouldn't start because I'd overlooked the option in the invisibly tiny menu in the lower left corner. Spent part of the morning trying to do my usual morning catchup with lynx :undecided:
But lo! my other half came down and found it for me, and All Is Very Well.

Congratulations to the KDE Team for an incredible job Well Done.
Most computer users may not appreciate the monumental hard work that went into creating KDE 4.2 - the "next generation" computer PC Desktop that is the only one to span all popular computing platforms - Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X and UNIX/GNU-Linux. Keep up the good work. W. Anderson Bermuda |

Just wow... the biggest surprise was having a usable KDE with Kwin compositing with a geforce 5200!
Here's to an even better 4.3 release |

Warmest congratulations to all KDE developers, artist, PR team, and everybody involved in KDE. KDE 4.2 is a very great release, showing the true vision of KDE 4, showing that KDE 4 is not a nonsense, showing that it is possible, and you all have made it, made a great release.
From your loyal user, from KDE 1 (can't remember which KDE 1), to now KDE 4.2. I really never have any DE installed in my computer for more than 1 months (ok, to be honest, it is also because of disk space constraint, since I always need to make the Tux share the space with Windows - even though I rarely use Windows, I just don't want to throw away that few bucks Windows things embedded in my notebooks) Posted from beloved Konqueror/KHTML and KDE trunk Now waiting for Debian unstable to have the 4.2 to replace my 3.5.10, in the meantime I'm happy with 3.5.10 and trunk. |
