Well done. This is a very impressive release! I think everyone involved can and indeed should be very proud of what has been achieved.
Time to celebrate, let's have beers. |

I would like to thank everyone involved with KDE, both in the past and especially for this release, which moves us closer to the ideal desktop.
I really hope (and see it in the near future) most bugs to be closed in the 4.2.x minor releases so that the majority of 3.5 users can safely switch to KDE 4. Also I would like to thank the openSuse people for keeping us up to date with the factory releases throughout the development circle. KDE 4.2 "One step closer to world domination." |

KDE 4.2 : :thumbs_up::-P:-D:shade:;-):lightbulb:
It's too bad KDE4.2 had not been released as first stable 4.0, otherwise KDE4.2 would have quickly imposed itself in front of all other D.E. ! I think organization is the only bad point in the KDE dev team. Alas this point is not the less important...:'( |

Konkratuations!
I'm using KDE 4.2 now and it's really really great! But like always there are still some work to do with speed of composition engine and qtlist bug annoys me (still) and Desktop Folder View still causes a lot of krashing. |

Congratulations on (by far!) the best KDE release ever!
So far I never liked any KDE AT ALL, but 4.2 really seems nice. I'm considering switching from Gnome, for the first time in my life. Keep up the great work! |

This is awesome ! I've been using 4 through its various less stable versions and was very happy with 4.1.3 but this is really cool.
Congratulations to all involved and Thank you for working on this ! |

KDE Team: Congratulations on the hard work. I switched to Gnome 4 weeks ago, before Desktop Folder View was available. I installed 4.2 on a friend's laptop last night with success. All major annoyances have been resolved. I'm impressed to see the widget features coming through to emulate the functions of 3.5, such as Auto-hide taskbar, etc. -Tres |
