Even that I was using the 4.2 RC... I can't wait to my distro to upgrade the packages to this final version.

4.2 is by far superior than 4.1 ... it does feels as a fine produced product, and even more user 'friendly' than before... but, of course, it does still faces some rejection from some users that wants to stay with KDE 3.x ...of course, if they do discover that KDE4 offers they the same and more than KDE3... they may move straight.

That is all, keep it up with the fine work, and of course, never lose of the target the final user, the user that is not interested in the technical aspects of the product but what KDE can make for him/her.

Up and running on Arch (which had it out before KDE officially released it ).

Only one issue involving autohiding with multiple monitors. I'll report that bug tomorrow.

Congratulations to the KDE team. This release is awesome and will be remembered forever!

I've been to the Slovenian release event and really enjoyed it there. Good job to everyone organising it!

As far as KDE 4.2 is concerned from what i've seen it's simply amazing! Guess I'm not geek enough to compile it on my own so I'll have to wait for 4.2 to hit the update repos in my distro. I'm confident KDE's old reputation will be back in no time!
