Latest plasma-desktop is better than ever, many thanks for all the work!
How about a new "Social View" activity template showing on-line contacts, somewhat similar with the "Folder View" activity? For each contact it could use the contact photo as icon, with name and status message as caption. Contact can appear and disappear as they come on-line or go off-line. This would be just one quick look to see who is on-line and one click to start chatting. If this could show icons for emails in your inbox, then that would be fantastic. A kpart for "Social View" with same information as Kopete would be quite something. Shelf widget already does it, but it's not the most elegant display when you have many friends on-line. Also, in contrast with Folder View, the desktop should be just as easily people & dialogue centric. Any thoughts? |

Thank you all.
I'm new at linux (after a long time with no use), used the Gnome but the KDE is awsome! I can wait to see install the new upgrade! Congratulations! |

I forgot to say thanks once I installed it. But then again I was using RC so it was a bit more seamless transition for me.
But I still thank you for it. It's really becoming one of the most innovative desktop environments.

I had reservations about KDE up through 4.4.x because of general buginess, krunner crashes and the like. Since 4.5.x however, it's been my desktop of choice. The upgrades to 4.6.1 and 4.6.2 went without a hitch. 4.6.2 seems really solid so far, no probs with it at all. The cpu footprint is light on this machine, it's been very responsive and stable and of course flexible and feature-packed as always.
For me it's been a definite winner. |

I really like 4.6.3 on Kubuntu. Great job - and I really like the direction things appear to be heading! Looking forward to being a part of it all
