So far I am loving 4.7. Had one hiccup that required me to move my plasma-desktop-appletsrc file to a backup in order to start plasma-desktop, but that wasn't a biggie.
I do have one question, however. When viewing the release announcements on kde.org, I noticed one screenshot with a very nice wallpaper. http://www.kde.org/announcements/4.7/sc ... plasma.png I was hoping this wallpaper would be included with 4.7, but it wasn't. Does anyone know what this wallpaper is called and where I might find it? Any info would be appreciated. |

I read there are 1000 fixed bugs in 4.7 and i think there 1000 new bugs -.- I'm an Arch-user, so I know there risks of using rolling release. The systemtray won't work correct. Plasma chrashes sometimes when I want to change my wallpaper. This button in right top corner is 1 or 2 cm away from the edge, the transparency of the menu isn't working. These are the bugs I have found after the reboot.
So there is no reason to celebrate 4.7 |

Odd, I'm on Arch and I haven't had any problems. So far everything works as advertised.

I'm on Gentoo, which is also rolling-release, with the addition of compiling everything. I had one issue with plasma-desktop crashing at start, but all I had to do was remove my ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc file and everything was fine.
There are always some bugs left over in x.x.0 releases, but these will get fixed in the subsequent minor point releases. |

I am running ArchLinux (pretty much right out of the box though) and 4.7 is running smoothly. I thank you so much, KDE team!

I have fallen in and out of love with KDE a couple times due to bugs and such, but, boy is it good to be back. Talk about reclaiming your desktop! KDE is smooth, sexy, stylish and absolutely 100% balanced in its reconfigurability - a real pleasure to use.
In the real world, away from all the gloss and polish, some bugs are bound to crop up but as far as a general desktop usage is concerned this is just right. Panel - resized Window buttons - moved Window glow - changed to black Good to go with a brand spanking new and modern KDE desktop. Who said Linux can't have nice clothes, eh?
