I just switched from Gnome 3 (I don't like it) to KDE 4.7 on Debian Testing.
I use 6 desktops, so on the panel I need the pager widget and the Task Manager with filter "only shows tasks for the current desktop". In Gnome 2 a similar widget shows the miniature rectangle of the windows in each desktop representation in the pager widget. When logging out, just by looking at it, I know if there still are applications running and where. AFAIK in KDE I have to hover over each desktop "icon" to know which windows are still around. Isn't it possible to make the pager widget signal the presence of windows on a desktop with something like a white point in the middle of the desktop "icon"? |
