The new fle format, OpenRaster (.ora) is proposed for the common exchange of layered images between raster graphics editors.
Because it is layered images, then this format can be used to store multiple sizes and color depths icon just like .ico file format. I suggest KDE to use this format for system icon as complementary or when possible as replacement to multiple .png image that currently being used as KDE system icon. It will reduce the number of file being used as system icon. And when possible this format can be proposed as FreeDesktop standard for system icon.
