Please, create panel and plasma colors, fonts configuration tool (or just a separate tool for creating plasma themes).
Someone referred me to these sites http://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?56120-Customize-plasma-desktop-theme http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma/Theme http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Plasma/Theme#Current_Theme_Elements http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma/ThemeDetails Gosh, does it really need to be that complicated? It would be nice to have GUI tool for setting background, colors, transparency, font and font color, etc for plasma and panel. I know that there are setting for plasma but they only allow to choose source of a plasma theme for specific element. So user is forced to use only existing themes or learn how to create those complicated configuration files and svgz in inkscape. In Gnome 2 user just chooses png file for panel background, transparency option is already in settings, and Gnome Color Chooser allows setting colors for menu. It would be great if in KDE it was also so easy. I found some topics about this issue, so it is not a new problem: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=19706&hilit=plasma+configurator&start=15 http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=98586&p=210979&hilit=plasma+color#p210979 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=177322 |
