Since the released of nepomuk i hoped to have a wonderfull tool in my KDE system. But, i think there is 3 years now from nepomuk released, i cannot find any way to use it and there is even one thing that i can do with it.
In the other way, i installed the tool recoll and i realized that is the tool that i missed since the abandon of Beagle ! http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Re ... tent=52353 With the recoll-runner when i want to find a file i type it in the krunner, when i dont remember the filename i type some words of the content and it finds the file, or anything i search i can find with recoll. So why keep nepomuk that is completely useless when we can have a real desktop search tool in kde ? I am real sorry to criticize nepomuk, but after some years i have never used it and i could nt have any benefits from it. |

Nepomuk is framework for semantic desktop, not file indexer utility. It is capable of file indexing, but it's not Nepomuk's only feature.
So while it might be good idea to use different file search utility, dropping Nepomuk purely because it's file searching capability is arguable doesn't make much sense.
