All accounts in Telepathy should be able to update status based on calendar status.

Example: If a user set in appointment in their calendar from 10am to 2pm; Telepathy should able to set its status for all online accounts to "busy" or "away" or a customized message.

Once the time has elapse, a dialog box would appear to verify user's availability.

If another messaging program/framework, this should be integrated into it as well.

Just replying to say that a KDE Telepathy dev (me) has read this :)

In theory it's possible.
The main problems come with cluttering the calendar interface view with lots of options.

We also end up in a very complicated situation where multiple systems try and change the presence, if you're online, and auto-away sets you to away.. then a calendar event kicks in and sets you to busy? (or should it?) and then when auto-away ends it has to set you to the calendar event.. when you factor in now playing, activity changes and manual changes this becomes rather difficult.
