Hi,
a teacher used a tool called PointToFix (http://www.pointofix.de). She could add annotations to the screen and highlight text. It is a really useful tool for live presentations, where you can't prepare slides. It shouldn't be too hard to implement, all things needed are already there in KDE. Afaik, it makes a snapshot from the screen when you activate it, and provides a toolbar to draw on that screenshot. It provides further features like storing the product or printing it.
It would be nice idea for a tool to be implemented in KDE, and a really useful one for people teaching other people how to use KDE ;-) .

regards,
Harald
