The current notification widget is much, much better and more polished than its earlier version. In my opinion, though, there's a major annoyaince in it that makes it feel roughly edged.

Currently, the categories in the notifications widget are shown in a tabbar, like this:


But, as you can see, it only takes two categories to make te tabbar all clumsy. I know the widget is still not fine-tuned and that can be made better; but even in that case, i bit more categories and the tabbar would be practically rendered useless.

My suggestion is simple: just use a dropdown list instead of a tabbar:


It saves space, it's not visually cluttered and it's easier to handle.
