Problem: In KDE 4.10 icon and text of minimized windows are coloured as pale gray in task bar which can make difficult to identify them quickly. Text is much harder to read than it was in previous versions. This concerns especially when using translucent plasmoid theme.

Solution: An option to adjust the level of the effect or to disable it.

Yes it is terrible. But somebody has found the solution:

controlled (at least partially) in systemsettings -> application appearance -> icons -> advanced -> disabled -> set affect -> all icons -> no effect & unclick semi-transparent
note: the text is still a bit dimmed, there may be a setting somewhere else for this
note: you can try panel icons, instead of all icons but for one user only all worked
