I tend to obsessively remove as much stuff as possible that I don't use. I'm trying to get rid of some Plasma widgets right now and I've encountered a problem. One of the packages of plasma widgets, "plasma-widgets-addons" has a huge list of widgets that I don't want. It also has the Icon Task Manager, which I can't stand not having. I think it's odd having a task manager grouped with all the rest of that stuff. The standard "plasma-widgets-workspace" package has the regular task manager and app launcher (both versions I'm assuming). The Icon Task Mgr should be in there IMO.

No, it's not really important. It just seems like a logical change to make that would help me remove some clutter from my system. If it's possible to get the Icon Task Mgr by itself somehow, please let me know.

you would have to compile it from source, the source is included in the .src package for plasma-widget-addons but not sure how you'd compile just the one piece

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x
