HI, I'm long time KDE user, but it's my first post :)

tldr;
I've recently started to use git and am still learning it. I don't want to be rude, I'm grateful for what is there now, but I was a bit disappointed to find that git integration is so limited as compared to what you get with turtoisegit on windows.
Currently I'm using a combination of dolphin for simple operations like add and mostly to see the status of files.
To complete my workflow I'm using git-cola, but its interface is non obvious and the overall workflow is slow.

So here's the juice. I'd love to have these features implemented and integrated in the dolphin plugin:
1. Add fetch operation.
2. Add a window to see the log and visualize branches graph.
Example:

3. Add basic operations like merge branch and revert file.

I know I'm asking much, but I think KDE devs would benefit as well. Maybe someone could do it as part of a GSoC >:D
Hopefully nothing needs to be done completely from scratch as there are already other projects like git-cola, rabbitvcs, gitg and qgit. The windows-only turtoisegit is open source as well.

Thanks.

I would love to see some of these features added not just to dolphin's git service menus, but to all of dolphin's vcs menus (which also includes svn which I use at work).

In my case there is also kdesvn which provides all of the functionality that I need (including a dedicated easy-to-use GUI); but that is not (always) installed by default, and it would be nice to see a subset of its functionality available for other vcs (and/or a git version of kdesvn - that would be nice).
