Hi guys,
We have an very interesting session as part of the akademy 2013 showing teachers some of the kdeedu software. Among the software we present were: Parley, Cantor, Step, Kalzium, KTurtle and Marble. They were very impressive by the software but the found three main problems to use them in the classroms: 1º The lack of diffusion kdeedu have (they do not know this software exists). 2º The lack of exercise sheets provided (there are examples and GHNS but their coverage vary a lot and are not well structured) 3º The lack of a reporting tool to centrally track the students progress. The first one should be undertake by the LUG while the second should be resolved by itself after some impulse from the community. On the other hand, the third one require some coding. I think that it would be a good idea to have a central tool to summarize the progress made by the student on all kdeedu software. Ideally this tool can send reports the the teacher or some e-learning platform as moodle or sakai. What do you think? I have already filled a bug Bug #323871 asking for this for parley but while I was filling I was thinking that it should be more general. See you.
