Hi, I currently use the opensuse-kde patched version of firefox which is very nice and allows me to see thumbnails generated on images on the upload dialog.
However, a recent, popular imageboard has adopted VP8 in webm containers for uploading which has been good fun working with. While Dolphin flawlessly generates thumbnails for such files, kdialog does not seem to support thumbnails for any kind of video file (h264, vp8, xvid, etc.) The aside preview is capable of giving me a preview of the file, so I'm using that as a workaround for now. It'd be great if video thumbnails could be implemented into the upload dialog like the images are, so that way I could see a thumbnail of each file without having to go one-by-one with the aside preview. |
