Hello I am KDE user and I REALY love the QT theme engine but my real problem is with the GTK 3 apps do you can create a GTK3 engine for QtCurve?

My understanding is that work had started on creating the gtk3 port of qtcurve, but since the theme api kept changing with each release of gtk3 and the attitude of certain gnome developers seemed to be that supporting 3rd-party themes was contrary to some ideal that Gnome should have a distinct and easily-identifiable look and feel then the port was discontinued (that was a couple of years ago, around the time of the gnome 3.6 release, or so).

I've wondered (hoped) recently if the situation has changed: that the theme api is more reliable and/or the attitudes have changed towards 3rd-party themes.

Regardless, currently there are just 2 options if you want to use a qt theme for gtk applications: oxygen-gtk, and qtcurve; and 0 options if you use gtk3 applications and don't want to use oxygen (in which case you just have to use one of the available gtk3 themes).

Today on openSUSE Firefox updated to 51.0.1 and it now uses GTK3 style , I have no idea how to configure KDE4 in general, and looking it badly.
Before that geany and chromium migrated to it, and more and more applications migrate from gtk2 to gtk3.
GTK-3.22.x already stabilized ABI and API, and will not be changed and is just right for her to make a theme that would gtk3-applications looking is nice.
And in KDE5 also need full support qtCurve.

Perhaps now it might be worth requesting the QtCurve maintainer(s?) to reconsider their stance on GTK3.

+1 for qtcurve gtk3 engine. Qtcurve is the best engine for QT IMHO. Why is firefox so ugly wish they didn't drop support of gtk2. I only use gtk3 with firefox this ridiculous. Gtk3 is so limited everything looks flat boring.
