Something for the old folks.

Mon Aug 04, 2014 6:12 pm
I am still kicking and have outlived both my parents by many years. I expect my children and grandchildren to outlive me as well.

At 71 years, even my corrective lenses do not manage the small font sizes applied to many default applications. With the advent of the larger screens, it would seem possible to have minimum default font sizes increased.

As we get older, we are inclined to have our windows washed more often, and whenever possible, increase font sizes in the places where we can. As life expectency increases, a greater portion of our society may be like me, in need of special consideration regarding size. Even the Smilies are too small. It is difficult to see the differences in the images. I for one, like to use them. They reflect my attitude and pass that on without words. 12 is my minimum anymore, if I want to be comfortable when I read and not strained.

Thanks for the listen ;D
