Hello.
I have Ubuntu 13.10, KDE 4.11.5 and notebook Asus U30JS. There are two users who use it logging in alternately. I repeat steps to get the strange behavour. 1. Load or reboot the note book. 2. I log in. 3. I lock the screen. 4. My wife clicks "Switch users" and selects "Create new session" (I have a localized Ubuntu and may be these butons are called differently). 5. She logs in. 6. She locks the screen. Now there are two users on the laptop. 7. I want to log in. I click "Switch users" but occasionally I choose my wife (not me) from the list and click "Activate". 8. From here I cannot switch to me anyway. I click "Switch users" but nothing happens. I click "Unlock" but get buttons "Switch users" and "Unlock" one above the other. So, what's wrong and how can I switch users in this case? |

Sounds like this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331761
It has been fixed recently. Btw, why are you posting this in the Brainstorm section? |

There is no section for bugs.
Bugs should be reported to bugzilla: http://bugs.kde.org/ Btw, you don't have to wait for an update to get the fix. Just change the file /usr/share/kde4/apps/screenlocker/greeter/themes/org.kde.passworddialog/contents/ui/main.qml according to this: https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/k ... i/main.qml It is only a text file, replace the red parts with the green lines. If you need help for that, feel free to ask. |
