Hey,
as I moved to KDE environment once again, I'm curious about the keyboard backlight support. The basic support is great and it works as it should do. However, there is no way controlling keyboard backlight when the computer goes to "Screen Energy Saving" state. All that can be done is to dim screen, but why there is no option for dimming the keyboard as well? (feature like "Dim Keyboard Backlight <time interval>"). It shouldn't be too hard to code such option to the System Settings menu.

Thanks for the link, google01103
I've already proofread that website. What I am looking for is not to dim keyboard manually, but a simple function to do it automatically by configuring KDE power management settings (System Settings -> Power Management). So, when an user leaves his/her computer, not only the screen should turn off/dim but keyboard backlight as well. Automatically, without user interaction. In addition, used dim level should be adjustable by the user like screen brightness and keyboard backlight already are in Power Management settings. |
