New install on Acer Aspire 5517 management sys initializes. But it crashed amid doing sys updates. It'll power off. Can I correct this with a work around or DVD desktop partial install? Have a newly burned kubuntu 14.04.1 dvd amd 64 desktop.iso.1.1gb standing by.
Two guys did a new KDE 14.04.1 install while I visited my g-kids. Their install instantly told me "a new install is awaiting me but the OS would not initialized. Am grateful Manager helped me do a work around. That let me do a terminal update and upgrade. That's when the crash occurred. A bug report was sent to launch pad. At this point, typing requires repeated correcttions; and, The install still announces "System security Updates Are Available." Something prevents the update. I have had to close everything and sometimes mustpower off. Believe this arises or has arosin resultt of building a 12.04 ubuntu studio. I started that amide upgrades I did startin back with 9:04 Kamri ubuntu. No old PPAs, linux headers have been used Sys Manager tools. is it easy to teeter out what stalls my Ltop causing the Sys Managerto trip up. mhartigan sheds light,,, in his thread [https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=122804&p=328312#p328312].
