Lancelot have configuration option, which control closing Lancelot after click. I think, that kicker can make it in different way.

After searching a program in kicker and click enter - kicker will close. I think kicker should make search field blank, after was enter clicked, and waits for second enter. After user press enter twice, kicker menu will close.
