Main Idea
Users can hide all folders so Dolphin show any file except folder. Perfect with a single button to do that. Case Let us see some users who have many saved HTML (Save Page Complete, including the folder) from Ctrl+S in Firefox/Chrome. They have many folders inside folders. When they are looking for the files i.e. PDF, ODT, and MP3 (not folders) they should do scroll down and scroll down again. It is better if Dolphin has a button to hide folder temporarily and it can be showed again with same button. If it is not a button, any new configuration will be fine. Without Hide Folders With Ctrl+I (Almost Hide Folders Temporarily) With Hide Folders Temporarily No more typing every file type one by one. Just hide the folder. Current Solution I know there is filter (Ctrl+I) in Dolphin[1]. But Ctrl+I is a single finder. I found it can not be used for more than one file type in one time. On the other hand, Hide Folders Temporarily will do (show) all the task (all the file) in just one time. So Hide Folders Temporarily is quicker approach for the user. Thank you for KDE. Thank you for KDE Developers. Happy I can post again in this forum. Finally, CMIIW. _________ [1] https://docs.kde.org/stable/en/applicat ... -tips.html |

It is a different feature. But it is good. The difference is you differ files by types. I differ files by folder and not folder. |
