I have had a quick look, but I am sorry if this is already covered elsewhere.

It may be my twisted thought processes and a failure of logic, but from my point of view the presentation of the current dialogue for setting the amount of compression when saving a JPEG file is completely misleading.

The dialogue indicates 'Compression'

The sliding scale goes from 0 - 100%

To my mind this suggests that 0 is 'no compression', while 100% is maximum compression.

In practice it works the other way round, which is counter intuitive, irritating, and a major disruption to effective workflow AND to enabling newcomers to successfully use Krita in a very basic aspect of image manipulation.

It would be excellent if someone could change this, presumably it is a fairly straightforward tweak to the UI rather than requiring any change to the underlying code.

Cheers, adairl.
