Hello everybody!

I am wondering this topic. Current ksysguard seems outdated and not enough visual appearance. There are too many technical details and live graphics is not enough for end-user. (not flat ui and not stylish design)

I think KDE 5 should have a new system monitor.
What do you think about that ? :)

I don't think we need a new one, instead you might suggest the visual redesign over in the Visual Design Group forum where they tend to Get Things Done pretty quickly with regard to such things.

For the first time I saw Windows 8 the system monitor was the only appealing app. Not to say we should go this way, but how much of a 'redesign' would that be? Anyway, wasn't KSysguard updated recently with Plasma 5.3?

No KSysGuard was not redesigned in Plasma 5.3. It's same since KDE 4.x(complex and it looks bad).
I think other system monitors have a more modern interface like Windows 8 system monitor application. I do not know. Maybe, I should ask that question in Visual Design Group forum. I just wondered your ideas.

Well, HDD activity monitor(s) would be a nice-to-have. Load in % as well as current R/W speed.
