My idea is about listing opened apps firstly in open with menu. It's needed to provide better performance of users. It's sensible I need to open image in GIMP if I had GIMP ran.

Let me see if I understand what you want here: When you right-click on a file (in dolphin) and select Open With..., the list of applications should list those that are already open above applications that are not already open (because being open already they should be able to open to that file quicker than opening another app from scratch) regardless of any other preferential ordering (which users can change to their liking, moving apps that they use more often to the top of the list manually).

Correctly.
Opening file should be faster with application, that already are run(place as application an web browser for example).

So if I want to open a music file (.mp3 file for instance) and I have GIMP and Firefox running in the background, should the Open With menu list them before Amarok or Clementine? I do not think this is the correct behaviour but maybe I didn't understand your proposal...

My bad. I have not describe my intention correctly. Only programs associated with file's mimetype should been listed, as currently.

if you want to open a file in a running app why not open it with the app?

Because my method is faster.

why/how is it faster? if you're already in the desired app how would it be faster? if you were in app not Dolphin nor the one you want the file opened with how would your idea be faster? |

Imagine that you have move to directory with images and open many files in that directory. So It would been faster, because you don't need to open directory the same with open/save dialog. Many applications doesn't support opening many selected files.
