Each time i sent an e-mail with Kmail from one of my multiple IMAP account i’ve got an error box saying:

NO Unable to write item changes into the database

This make a unreadable/new mail in the Sent message and another message box came up asking if the queued or the unread message had the bee kept ....

I searched the web for over a month without any good answer and a lot of tries, i was nearly to change my Mail program, but i found out that :

One of the IMAP provider did change his server (and of course the program) and so i had to :

Refresh the IMAP server and local inscriptions... and it solved the problem...

I hope this information will help other people's

Greetings

Very strange...

Indeed an annoying issue...
What sounds strange to me:

That means that the provider took the liberty to modify the content of your mail account which clearly is not permitted in most legal systems of the world. Your private data is protected, though to a different extend in different areas of the world. Certainly it is true that some secret services (namely the infamous "5 eyes", so the USA, Canada and the rest) give a **** and break law on a daily base. But that does not change the legal situation. A private company altering the content of your account is highly questionable.

It might make sense to contact the provider about this issue. Not to change anything, that would be a naive expectation. But to raise the awareness for this issue.

Hello,

They migrated from a Gmail server (without privacy) to another company with a server located in switzerland with more privacy.... This had to bee without hasel for the client... but something did not work...

Ah, OK, I understood that in a different way. So actually it was not the company operating the service, but they switched the actual backend server provider. That is something else. In that case indeed the behavior might alter.
