It would be nice if plasma-nm would check for Captive Portals when connecting to a network and, if one is detected, direct the User to the Portal-Page.

What is a Captive Portal?

How could this be solved?

1. Check, via DBus, if NM detected a Captive Portal
2. Show a notification to inform the User and direct him/her to the respective Website
3. Somehow modify the Taskbar-Icon to indicate the limited connectivity

Does NetworkManager support this?
