Hello all,
I was watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3gS9tjACwU which highlights some stuff that while obvious I hadn't given much thought about. And I thought how efficient it would be if you could bind actions (for example: open dolphin, other application, do something else) to left-clicking somewhere on the empty desktop (not an icon obviously). Already single-right-click-mouse brings up a menu; we could also have: single-left-click-mouse : opens an application/brings up a menu double-left-click-mouse : opens an application/brings up a menu and have a menu where the user can choose what each action (left-click/double-click) does, like which application or menu it will open. That's pretty much it. Thanks for reading it! |

JFYI:
You can already bind an action for single left-click on the desktop in the "Desktop Settings"->"Mouse Actions" (right-click on an empty space on the desktop or left-click on the desktop toolbox icon in the upper-left corner to reach them). Although it is not possible to make it start a particular application, nor to use double-click... |
