Been wondering how nice it would be for KDEConnect to syncronize your phone contacts with KAddressBook. You won't need to goto your phone all the time to lookup a contact when you are already facing your PC.
This also will help in restoring contacts if you in anyway loose them. |

Certainly it is desirable to keep your PIM data (personal information management) in sync over multiple devices.
However syncing address books is not a trivial issue due to the various formats and data models used in real life. But maybe you want to look at an existing and working alternative to that direct approach you suggest: I am using an ownCloud (http://owncloud.org) as a central data repository. Among many other things that also provides me with a (or multiple) address book that I can access and sync with different devices, my notebooks and smartphones for example. ownCloud is pretty easy to setup and has matured enough for daily usage. It offers a central repository for all my data like contacts, calendars, files, bookmarks, pictures, ..., including a backup location, automatic sync and offline access. |

You're making a point here, how this actually came into my head was:
I exported my contacts to KAddressBook then unfortunately my phone screen broke, each time I had to call someone, I picked the number from KAddressBook. That helped me alot |

Akonadi is very buggy! The idea is good, but implementation leaves much to be desired.
