I don't find this option "vote" useful. I don't think many users bother to use it. Besides the total number of votes doesn't really seems to be the right indicator of how much users need this feature or how important the bug is.
I think that launchpad have better solution: "I am also affected". It tells how many users are interested in solving the problem.

I think this is a good Idea but I would edit the title to Replace vote with "I am also affected". The title is a little confusing otherwise.
