I like kwin but I use compiz more because of the ease of use. I use the middle mouse button to initiate the cube. And I use the right and left mouse buttons in combination with the edges to go to the next desktop left or right. So that you cannot switch every time accidentialy to an other desktop if you hit the edge and have to switch back every time.
It would be nice if this was also possible in kwin, I will use kwin than instead of compiz.
