Hi guys,
I felt in love with operabrowser copy/paste popup feature, I find this feature mainly in konsole would be really great (in kate or the kdeframework would be good as well). You must try it first in Opera to understand what im talking about.., I really hope you accep it, i think it would make KDE a litle bit better. I took myself the trouble to make a video demo in youtube, so, i hope you like the idea , please watch it; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCfvf6bwPrc thanks. |

This only makes sense on MS-Windows based systems (which are rare to run a KDE desktop...), since every unixoid system uses the selection by itself as item anyway which can be pasted without further actions. Actually that behavior is far superior to what you describe. Give it a try:
- highlight some text holding down the left mouse button - paste anywhere using the middle mouse button (note: no click for "copy" was required at all) That will work unless you specifically altered the default settings to prevent that. |

i dont have middle mouse button i just use the touchpad, in this case, i would have to push both touchpad buttons at the same time, or use contextual button. I dont know what else to say, i just feel so good this popup for everyday regular user, that i thought it would be great if you could have same thing in kde. It remembers to me a lot to the great drag&drop popup's ask for, of dolphin. please, buid it, if you build it, they will come!! |

That does not mean you have no middle mouse button! I configured my touchpad such that I have three mouse buttons: - tap with one finger: left mouse click - tap with two fingers: middle mouse click - tap with three fingers: right mouse click Works fine, extremely fast, one handed without thinking, intuitive. |
