Let us choose the order of the icons in the system tray. Or lock them in place. Anything that stops them getting randomized after every reboot. I think the order is based on when the process was started, and that might be how they behave on Windows, but it's rather annoying and prevents any muscle memory from forming.

Have you tried pinning the items in the taskbar (right-click -> Show a Launcher When Not Running)? I would hope that items pinned in such a fashion should show up in the same order after reboot.
