Good evening.

I would like to request the ability to assign the same shortcut to different tools, so that when I repeatedly press it, it cycles between them. I'm a Debian and Wacom Cintiq user, and I try to cram as many essential functions as I can to Cintiq's 9 side-buttons. Due to Xinput interpretation of the side-buttons as simple placeholders to keyboard keys, these side-buttons amount to, at best, a keyboard with nine keys. As such, these are also restricted to key combinations that are made possible using a keyboard, that is, at most a single alphanumerical key combined with up to three modifier keys. Therefore, by being able to assign multiple tools whose functions are either complimentary (such as the Eraser and the Paintbrush) or similar (such as the Lasso and the Polygonal Lasso) to the same button, further optimization could be achieved with these few buttons. Optimization that which, could be enjoyed as well by those using a regular keyboard, and are seeking an shortcut layout that requires fewer hand movements.

Thank you for your attention and consideration.
