Problem statement:
Currently, the keyboard shortcuts for "Quick Tile Window to the Left (Right)" don't always tile the active window to the left/right (as their names suggest).
Observe this sequence:

State 0. [Unmaximized window]
Super + Up -- Custom KWin shortcut for "Maximize Window"
State 1: [Maxmized window]
Super + Left -- Custom KWin shortcut for "Quick Tile Window to the Left"
State 2: [Unmaximized window]
Super + Left
State 3: [Window tiled to the left of the screen]

Currently, I have to press Super + Left one or two times to tile the window, depending on the current window state.

Proposal: Make the behavior more deterministic, like this:
State 0. [Window, in an arbitrary state (windowed/maximized/tiled to the left/tiled to the right, ...)]
Super + Left
State 1: [Window tiled to the left of the screen]

In this way:
  • The shortcuts work as their names suggest.
  • Users don't have to care about the current state of the window.
