When using the search feature, I see the options to search "From Here ([directory name])", and "Everywhere". For me, it would be useful to be able to search through only the currently selected folders, if there are any. For instance, from Home, I might know a file is in my Documents or Downloads, but I'd currently have to either run two searches, one through Documents, and one through Downloads, or run a search on everything, which could be time consuming if I have a lot of music and pictures, for example (and if there were images and pictures that had the string I was searching for, there might be way too many results).
This could also be useful for if, for instance, there were 100 directories that were different versions of the same program, as a search for a file might return a ton of files with the filename, from each version. However, if you only cared about the ones from the last 5 versions, you could select the five most recent version folders and search those.

In the past somebody has suggested to make clipboard/pastebin kioslave. Maybe there no reason to modify dolphin?
