3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator Support

Mon Apr 16, 2018 7:15 am
So i have a 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator,
It works in Photoshop, so i would like to ask if it would be possible to implement the support for said hardware ?

I've read on the steam forums that the devs who were working on it have disappeared.

which software project is this about? You are posting in the general KDE forum Brainstorm section which is not project specific.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Also ...
Support for these devices did exist years ago, when said devices were en vogue. There was a drop in replacement driver one could use instead of the proprietary one and the free alternative worked fine as far as I can remember.

Is that support gone? Broken? Then it would make sense to fix it. But for that one would have to know what exactly is broken.
And as already said ... I fail to see what exactly this has to do with KDE. That is a driver / kernel task.
