In my opinion, there should be implemented a new way to generate name for files. My proposal is to suggest name by adding source's parent directory name to name of new file. For example - imagine I would like to copy file My File from /home/I/Pictures onto /var/run/media/I/3204i2i42, but there exist currently My File. Way to solve is quite simple - KIO will check if there's file called My File inside Pictures. If it doesn't exist, name for new file will be My File inside Pictures (maybe better to use from word instead inside?). If file exist, KIO will check there's exist My File inside Pictures inside I, etc.
If this way to generate name for new file fails, KIO will fallback to other methods..

Another good approach is to use device/place name, like Root, Home, Projects, Pictures, etc. For example Image 1 From Home directory, Image 2 From My Pendrive. I know, that GNU/Linux doesn't provide easy way to handle devices labels, but maybe the idea can be realized.
