Many software on GNU/Linux (and possibly other system) have common problems and way to fix it. For example sound problems could been resolved by running program with padsp tool. Some tool (written with SDL v1 for example) grab keyboard, so there's no possibility to switch active window (Unreal Tournament for example).
In my opinion, Plasma5 should have special tab in desktop file property dialog, called "Tweaks". It's similar feature to Windows compatibility mode, but now user don't select system version, but tweaks. Some software aren't still maintained and it's commerce or closed source, so there's no way to create package. Desktop environments should made using outdated software as easy as possible, so tweaks tab could be great. Instead of searching internet and modifying configuration/scripts files, user could just use mouse and apply suggestion found on the network. Maybe there could be collaboration with other DE developers?

This would lead to an endless tail chaising. Not a good thing.
