Unfortunately ladspa support in any pulseaudio GUI control is bad. Veromix tried to do it right, but, unfortunately we don't have it either.

Tearful story:
At last I have enabled fast lookahead limiter in pulse audio default.pa config. Without limiter or compressor it's very unpleasant on some videos on the web, one screams like crazy, other is barely hearable on 200% of volume. Hardly found an info how to do it. Pulseaudio's manuals ar very weak at this point, only on askubuntu I've found some info. But I had to manage myself that there exists some applications in ladspa sdk. that might help a bit , listplugins and analyzeplugin. With their help I've managed right plugin name, label and controls. But pulseaudio wanted only 3 of controls... Oooo... And even when it started working, I couldn't switch plugin's output device (I use bluetooth headphones, hdmi output and integrated laptops soucard) with Plasma Volume plasmoid, I had to install pavucontrol. It's a hell to do it by every user, on every system! It's a nightmare! Powerful technology becomes a toy of nerds! Such a shame!

Can you, please, add ladspa support to Volume plasmoid?

What I want:
  • At least ad possibility to switch output device of running plugin and remember the choice (as it is now for regular applications)
  • Add ability to add plugins on the run
  • Add autostart plugins option.
