KDE Plasma version 5.12.6

I recently had a bad ear and realised that I needed to temporarily rebalance my headphone speakers.Expected to easily be able to do this I tried simply clicking on the 'speaker' icon on the desktop, then finding an option inside audio volume settings (See pic) but this wasn't available.

Instead I had to search then used PulseAudio to unlock the audio channels. :o :'(

This is extremely non-intuitive. I've been using Plasma for a few years now, 2 as my daily driver.
(To be honest even the 'lock' icon didn't suggest L-R balance, the user is looking for something to do with balance, L-R or an ear symbol, not a lock icon which is associated with security or stopping something.)

Hence
1) Typically one would click on 'Audio Volume Settings' in sound menu (or other way to get 'Audio Settings')
2) In 'Audio Settings', have an icon that suggests and allows one change the audio L-R balance

Independent ear bass-treble control
Often those with poor hearing have very different ear responses, so If each ear could have independent bass and treble control that would be a big help.
Perhaps some test that could switch tones between the ears until they sounded reasonably similar to get the ear spectrum reasonably balanced, not just volume?

I've never contribute to KDE code and I've never done any Qt coding, but if its not too difficult I'm happy to have a go at implementing it if someone is willing to point me in the right direction.

Finally apologies if I've not done/posted this in the correct way, I'm new to this forum ; 8-)

Thank you !
