Perhaps this is an idea for the KDE framework ...

[Idea]: is it possible in KDE to realize the ability to select the zone of the toolbar into which the button will be displayed. "Left", "Center", "Right". What would you customize the appearance of the application interface was not at the developer level, but at the user level? For example, via the panel configuration dialog or via the configuration file?

This would add flexibility, configurability.

Perhaps you could apply a similar approach to the action buttons in the dialog boxes?
