A way to replace gtk file chooser

Tue Oct 16, 2018 1:54 pm
I far as I get it there is no way to use KDE's file chooser in Gtk3 apps like firefox, sublime text and so on... But is *was* possible via the kgtk wrapper which is unmaintained for years. So I wonder if it's still technically possible to replace Gtk's file chooser with KDE's one. If that's so we could make a system-wide setting to support this behavior.

The first hit if I search with the 'kgtk-wrapper':

GitHub - sandsmark/kgtk: qt5/kf5 port - https://github.com/sandsmark/kgtk

May or may not work...

Yeah, that's what I meant by `kgtk` in my post (I though it's unmaintained). But I wonder is there a (theoretical) way to make a system-wide switch (for those apps ran by .desktop file as least)
