I could otherwise live without Konqueror! I've been with Linux since nearly turn of the Century, RedHat 5, and as long as possible it's been Konqueror all the way through ... as a File Manager. I miss View Profiles ... a little. But INFINITE SPLITTING ... is really needed, and would be a tremendous advantage in our advocacy of Dolphin. I've been heavy-duty most of the way through, turning people on to Linux, "a love thing". And with what money i could afford, more than elsewhere.

Please, please will you accommodate.

Oh, one more thing. My love to all.

This actually goes all the way back to leading into the KDE 4 transition. Dolphin was created as a dedicated file manager with the goal of being a simpler alternative to the swiss-army-knife konqueror, and as such the decision was made to only support a single split.

Fast-forward to today, Konqueror is still around and still supports infinite splitting and everything else. Also, you could just open up multiple dolphin windows (though depending on your use case this may not be as convenient as having them all in a single window)

That said, I think it's worthwhile gathering feedback to see if people like this idea enough to pursue implementing it in Dolphin.
